The food was great, here. The service was pleasant and the food was brought out pretty fast. We loved everything we ate, and it pretty much left us completely full. We definitely over-ate, but the food was so good, we couldn't help ourselves. The pricing was very reasonable. We noticed they had a bunch of sunflower decorations, too - not sure if it was for an event or just their normal decor, but I love sunflowers, so it did the trick for me Parking is a bit tight in this area, depending on when you arrive. This restaurant does not have a parking lot. There is street parking, some of which is paid and some isn't. If you head down one of the residential roads (off the main road) you'll find free parking.

I’d give this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars. I ordered the Kin-tot and Kitfo and both were delicious—the spices were perfectly balanced and the portions generous. The staff was welcoming and explained the dishes well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy and flavorful Ethiopian meal’s.

My coworker, who’s Ethiopian, told me I had to try this place, so I went for it. We ordered a ton of food, and everything was super delicious! I’ve been to a lot of Ethiopian spots in Calgary, and this one is definitely one of my favorites. I totally recommend it if you want some authentic Ethiopian eats! Just a heads up: it might take a little while for your order to be ready, so it’s a good idea to order about an hour in advance before you get too hungry!

For those of you who missed Kensington’s Marathon Restaurant (shut down in 2021), Habesha YYC is one of the Finest Spots l for you to Savour Ethiopian/Eritrean Gastronomy in a World-Class Setting. The staffs were really courteous, food was prepared in a timely manner, and the aroma of traditional incense manifests such welcoming atmosphere for patrons/guests. Among of my top favourites are the Chacha Tibs, Quanta Firfir, and Beyayentu. All meals are presentable in their flavours & arrangements. Problems included are the limited parking spaces surrounding the block and the Chacha Tibs were too oily for consumption. My visits to Habesha YYC are among the best in experience and taste. I will come again in the future to satisfy my palates. Definitely a must-go for everyone into Calgary’s Food Scene! My top Favourite. በጣም አመግናለሁ!

The food is very delicious. Can't recommend enough. Wish the atmosphere was a bit more sophisticated and cozy, so much could be done with the space being that the location is so prime, however won't stop me from going.

What a place! It's cozy and relaxing, yet energizing enough to make you want to eat. While many have praised the food and taste, what stood out to me was the exceptional hospitality, inviting ambiance, and the staff's detailed explanations of the dishes. You are getting authentic Ethiopian delicious foods.
